Three new ministers took oath on Thursday in the two and half years old Jai Ram Thakur Government of Himachal Pradesh. Ministers inducted today are Rakesh Pathania, Sukh Ram Chaudhary and Rajinder Garg.
In a ceremony at Raj Bhawan Himachal Pradesh Governor Bandaru Datatrya administered oath of office and secrecy to the three new members of Jai Ram council of ministers today.
Chief Secretary Anil Khachi conducted the oath taking ceremony.
Governor administered oath in Hindi to Sukhu Ram Chaudhary first who is four time member of Assembly from Paontasahib of Sirmaur district. Oath was also administered to Rakesh Pathania of Nurpur of Kangra district in English and Rajinder Garg of Ghumarwin of Bilaspur in Hindi.
Among those present on the occasion were Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, Social Justice and Women empowerment Minister Rajiv Sehjal, Education Minister Suresh Bhardwaj, Panchayat Raj and Animal Husbandry Minister Verinder Kunwar, Urban Development and Town & Country Planning Minister Sarveen Chaudhary, BJP president Suresh Kashyap, Former MLA or former BJP president Satpal Singh Sati, Transport Ministers Govind Singh Thakur and Agriculture Minister Ram Lal Markanda, Chief Secretary Anil Kumar Khachi, and other officers and employees of State Government.

1) Sukh Ram Chaudhary
Son of Late Tulsi Ram; born on 15th April, 1964 at Village Amargarh, Tehsil Paonta, Distt. Sirmour; Intermediate and I.T.I. Diploma (Electrical); married to Shashi Bala; three daughters; Agriculturist and Trade Unionist. Served Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board as Telephonist, 1982-94 & Junior Engineer ,1994-98.
Remained President, i) BJP Distt. Sirmour (thrice), ii) State BJP Kisan Morcha; and presently Vice President, State BJP.
Elected to the State Legislative Assembly in 2003; re-elected in December, 2007; and remained Chief Parliamentary Secretary (Attached with CM for Agriculture and Animal Husbandry) 09th July, 2009 to December, 2012.
Re-elected to the thirteenth Vidhan Sabha (3rd term) in December, 2017; nominated as Chairman, Welfare Committee; and Member, Library and Member Amenities Committee.

2. Rakesh Pathania
Son of Col. Kahan Singh; born on 15th November, 1964 at Village Ladori, District Kangra; Graduate, educated at Pune, Allahabad and Amritsar; married; one son and one daughter; Political and Social Worker.
Began his political career in 1991; remained President, Bharatiya Janata Party Kisan Morcha, Distt. Kangra; State Secretary, Bharatiya Janata Party Kisan Morcha; and Member, BJP State Executive.
Elected to the State Legislative Assembly in 1998 as BJP candidate; re-elected in December, 2007 as Independent. Remained Chairman, Tourism Development Corporation, 1998-2003.
Re-elected to the thirteenth Vidhan Sabha (3rd term) in December 2017; nominated as Chairman, Public Administration Committee and Member, Public Accounts & Rule and Library & Member Amenities Committees.

3. Rajinder Garg
Son of Sundri Devi & Baldev Singh; born on 30th May, 1966 at Tandora, Bilaspur, HP; M.Sc. (Botany) 1990, educated at Jiwaji University, Gwalior & Himachal Pradesh University; married to Raj Kumari; one son and one daughter; Agriculturist, Horticulturist and Political worker.
Became RSS Swayamsewak in 1982; and Joined ABVP in 1983.
Remained Convenor, ABVP Distt. Bilaspur, 1986-87; Secretary, State ABVP, 1987-88; Whole Time Organization Secretary ABVP (MP), 1990-97; Local Correspondent, Dainik Bhaskar, 2000-06; Convenor, BJP Training Cell, 2006-10; Member Director: HP State Education Board 2006-10,ii) HP Technical Education Board, 2006-10; and Member, BJP National Training Cell, 2009-11.
