Shimla, Jan 14
The District Crime Record Bureau of Shimla police today disclosed that it has recorded siezure of 130 per cent increase in Chitta (synthetic or adulterated heroin) last year.
Releasing data of contraband synthetic drugs here, In-charge of DRCB Shimla stated that in the whole year of 2022, siezure of 3.850 kilograms Chitta was made in 157 cases and 250 peddlers were arrested.
In the year number of cases traced by the anti-drug cell went up by 30 pc and arrests by 18 pc. Compared to previous year in 2021 district police seized around 1.780 kg Chitta booking 120 cases and arresting 211 peddlers.
