A cold wave has intensified across Himachal Pradesh, with the mercury in 15 places plummeting below zero. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, Una recorded a minimum temperature of -0.4°C on Friday, six degrees lower than Shimla, which saw 4.4°C.
Temperatures in Lahaul-Spiti’s Tabo and Keylong dropped to -7.5°C each, while Kukukseri was at -7.1°C. Kalpa in Kinnaur recorded -5.2°C, Samdhu was at -4°C, and Berthin in Bilaspur saw -1.5°C. Narkanda and Reckong-peo both registered -1.2°C, and Sundernagar, Bhuntar, and Solan reported -0.1°C. Other notable places like Manali, Seobagh, Bajoura, Hamirpur, Bharmour, Bilaspur, and Mandi experienced temperatures close to or below freezing.
In contrast, the minimum temperatures in Chamba (1.5°C), Kangra (2°C), Dharamshala (3.5°C), Nahan (6.7°C), and Ponta Sahib (8°C) were relatively higher.

Daytime weather remained dry and pleasant, although moderate fog reduced visibility to 400 meters in Mandi district. The Met Office forecasts mainly dry weather for the next 24 hours.
