Shimla, July 6
Four to six people are missing in a cloud burst, which occurred at Chojh village of Challal Panchayat in Kullu district near a Manikaran, confirmed Superintendent of Police Kullu Gurudev Singh. He said that 4-6 persons and 5 cows or calf are washed away after a flood caused by a very heavy rainfall and cloud burst in Chojh village on Wednesday.
Rescue Team on the way but are stuck enroute, due to a landlside on Kasol -Jaimala Road. Rescue team of fire and Police are deployed in the rescue operation.
14 year lost lost life in capital
Heavy rainfall also wreaked havoc in Shimla where a 14 yrs old girl died and two others were hit by land slide near Dhalli tunnel. A massive water flow also cave in a retaining wall near SP Model School near Engine ghar Sanjauli in Shimla town. Report says that muck has started coming down from the SP Model school to a private parking lot.
Flash flood in Malana
Meanwhile another report stated that a flash flood occurred at Malana Project-II under T Bhuntar Tehsil of Kullu district at 7.35 am on Wednesday in which a building of project is damaged. In the incident 25Â to 30 Employee got stuck in building. All persons are rescued safely. Rescue was succesfully completed by done by SDM Kullu, Police Team Kullu and Fire Team Kullu.
