Shimla, July 20
After 583 new COVID-19 matters being recorded today, the active case total tally in the State has become 3157. One more life was lost to the pandemic, wherein 364 people recovered from the infection. The demise was recorded in the Una district, taking the total tally of people who have lost life to the infection to 4130.
The daily positivity rate of day is 15.1 percent, compared to 12.1 percent on Tuesday.
Again, today, maximum cases were recorded in Kangra 122, followed by Shimla 93, Mandi 92, Chamba 84, Sirmour 52, Hamirpur 34, Una 24, Solan 12, Kinnaur 9 and Lahaul & Spiti 7, cases were reported today.
The total confirmed cases reported in the State, till date are now 291669, wherein 4130 people have lost life to the pandemic.
Meanwhile Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said that the State Government was keeping an eye on the increase in number of covid-19 cases. He stated that the State now has a capacity of about 11500 beds with 48 PSA plants, 3 LMO plants, about 18 thousand oxygen cylinders, 1014 ventilators. At present there are 25 active COVID centers which can be easily expanded if required, he assured.
