The services of Professor Vinod Yadav, Director, National Institute of Technology Hamirpur (NIT Hamirpur) have been terminated with immediate effect. His services have now been scrapped for appointing people against the rules and other irregular practices in the institute.
In fact, a few months ago, Yadav was removed from the post of Director of the Institute. According to the Union Ministry, several complaints were received against Vinod Yadav, who was appointed director for five years.
He was under investigation and an inquiry committee was formed on July 13, to investigate the alleged charges against Yadav. Verifying the allegations, committee presented it’s report.
Yadav was appointed on March 23, 2018 and his tenure was up to 2023. He will get salary for the next three months and thereafter their services will be terminated.
