After an intensive Active Case Finding campaign in Mandi district no suspected COVID -19 case has been found here. The total people scanned under the campaign are 10,10,451. Now in the next stage the district administration has started random sampling in every block of the area.

Deputy commissioner of Mandi district Rugved Thakur appealed to residents of Mandi district that the virus is very dangerous and a asymptomatic person could be a career of it. He explained that most patients treated in Himachal Pradesh were asymptomatic. He advised people to always wear mask while going out from homes.

He also disclosed that to eliminate the danger of coronavirus now health department has started random sampling in every block area of Mandi district. Health department will take 10 samples in each block and will examine the results of these samples. Outcomes of the samples may be useful for further studies, he explained.
