Shimla, July 22
Raising concern, as many as 751 new COVID-19 cases have been reported in Himachal Pradesh on Friday, taking the tally of active cases to 3660. Also 413 people recovered the infection as no life was lost to the pandemic.
The daily positivity rate (DPR), statewide recorded is 15.94 percent, as 4711 samples were tested in the previous 24 hours. District wise, Kangra reported 159 cases with a daily positivity rate of 14.5 percent. The tally was followed by Mandi, 138 cases with a very high daily positivity rate of 25.6 percent. It is the third day in a row that Mandi district has recorded a daily positivity rate of more than 24 percent.
Shimla reported 106 cases with a daily positivity rate of 18.46 percent. Hamirpur reported 61 cases and DPR of 15.3 percent. Chamba 62 cases with a DPR of 13.8 percent.
Kullu recorded 59 cases with a daily positivity rate of 23.98 percent. This is the second time in last 3 days that Kullu has reported daily positivity rate of more than 20 percent.
Bilaspur reported 43 cases with DPR of 11.4 percent. Una 42 cases and a daily positivity rate of 13.8 percent. Solan 38 cases and Sirmour 27 COVID-19 cases were reported today. As Solan displayed a 16.03 percent DPR, Sirmour reported 8.91 percent daily positivity rate.
Till date, a total of 4760310 have been tested for nCoV. Of them, 293,018 have tested positive. As many as 285205 have recovered, and 4133 have lost life to the pandemic.
