In a press release today, BJP leader and MLA Dr. Janak Raj sharply criticized the Congress government, which has been in power for one year and eight months. Dr. Raj claimed that the state has experienced a significant slowdown since the Congress took over, pointing out several issues such as the failure to distribute free uniforms to students, rationed water supply, and government doctors being denied their Non-Practicing Allowance (NPA).
Dr. Raj further accused the Congress of neglecting the development of the state, arguing that it has been regressing on the development index since BJP was ousted. He highlighted that despite the former Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur facing criticism from Congress for not distributing school uniforms, the current government has nearly abandoned the scheme.
Moreover, Dr. Raj mentioned that despite the Chief Minister’s assurance on November 7, 2023, the NPA has not yet been reinstated for doctors, and the Chief Minister has remained silent on the issue. He also commented on the situation in the Dehra assembly constituency, accusing the Chief Minister of making grand promises during the election campaign without any clear plan for their fulfillment.
