Bomb threat poster sparks security alert at Rohru court complex

A major security alert was sounded in Rohru subdivision of Shimla district on Wednesday after an unidentified poster threatening bomb blasts at the court complex and SDM office was found near Bharari Road.
The threat prompted immediate action from the district police and administration, leading to evacuation of the premises and deployment of heavy security.
According to district police officials, information regarding the suspicious poster was received during the day, following which precautionary measures were initiated without delay.
As part of the security response, both the court complex and the Sub-Divisional Magistrate’s office in Rohru were evacuated to prevent any possible risk to the public and government staff.
Police teams cleared all vehicles parked within the premises and cordoned off the area. Adequate police personnel were deployed at strategic points, while the bomb disposal squad was rushed to the spot to conduct detailed inspections and sanitisation checks.
Authorities stated that a thorough search operation is currently underway across the affected premises. So far, no suspicious object or explosive material has been detected, though officials said investigations are continuing with utmost caution.
In connection with the incident, a case has been registered at Sadar Police Station Shimla and further legal action has been initiated.
