Reportedly the suspected Covid-19 women who passed away in PGI Chandigarh was wife of a Director in a Helmet factory at Baddi (Jharmajri). She was brought for treatment to PGI yesterday, where she passed away today. Informed through sources that the woman was residing in Jharmajri since March 14 this year. She had come from Delhi and was living in the company guest house as they could not return back because of the curfew.
She visited the local Brooklyn Lifeline hospital on March 30 as she was feeling unwell. As per Baddi administration the company has around 1000 workers. They informed that fortunately most workers were on leave due to lock-down but there are reports of the lady being in touch with a few.
Dr Shashi Kant of the private hospital in another media statement said that four people with cough and cold symptoms were brought to their hospital. Out of them 70 year old Sneh Lata was referred to PGI, where she passed away.
After the incidence, all borders of the state have been sealed. Prashant Deshta SDM Baddi informed that the private hospital and factory area have been sealed for the moment. BMO Baddi Dr Jassal informed that necessary precautions have been taken but the details would be confirmed by CMO Solan. When contacted CMO Solan informed that matter is being probed and an official version shall be released through DPRO Solan soon.
