Shimla, Dec 6
Dense Fog impacted Bilaspur district of Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday and mercury plummet under subzero in the tribal areas of Lahaul-Spiti district further intensified the cold wave.
The Met Office said in weather bulletin issued here today that dense fog engulfed Bilaspur town along the Govind Sagar lake and reducing visibility less than 70 meters. Visibility also dropped to 200 meter along the banks of Bilaspur and BBMB canal as moderate fog disrupted vehicular traffic in the wee hours. The IMD issued a yellow alert for next two days for dense to moderate fog in the isolated pockets in plains and low hill.

Minimum temperature of Keylong was minus two in Lahaul-Spiti district and Kukumseri minus 1.8 degrees. Tourist hot-spot Manali 2.8 degrees, Solan 3.4, Kufri, Chamba, Dalhousie and Mandi five, Bilaspur and Shimla 6.5, Dharmshala 7.4, Hamirpur four degrees and Kangra 8 degrees.
