A terrible fire incidence in a store of Bhakra Beas Management Board(BBMB) caused fatal death of a 59 year old watchmen. According to police sources BBMB workshop store situated in BBMB colony Sundernagar this morning, caught fire.
After getting information a police team from BSL police station reached the spot and started the rescue operation with the help of BBMB fire brigade service. After taking off the fire the police team found one burnt dead body inside the store. The deceased has been identified as Prem Singh Parmar resident of Bhurjavanu village of Sundar Nagar subdivision. He was employed with BBMB as the watchman in this store. Sources inform that two watchmen were on duty in this store but the second watchman had left the place by the time incidence took place.
Though exact reason for fire is yet to be ascertained but primary investigation reveals that it took place due to a short circuit. Though police team also found a room heater in switched on condition inside the store.
The forensic team of police department has collected samples from the spot. DSP Sundernagar Gurbachan Singh said that police is investigating the matter and the body has been sent for postmortem.
