Shimla, May 25
Four people died when a jeep fell in a deep gorge at Kholanalah area of Seraj constituency of Mandi district in Himachal Pradesh this afternoon, informed SP Mandi Shalini Agnihotri.
The deceased have been identified as driver Durga Das (42), Raj (43), Roshan (36) and Sanju. All victims belonged to Kholanalh and Koon villages. The bodies have been sent to Mandi for post-mortem, she added.
As per initial information, all the four people had left for Koon village home in the jeep from Kholanalah. Near Khuhan village, the jeep went out of control and fell into the gorge. Everyone died on the spot in the accident.
Soon after the mishap, local people reached the spot, informed the police and pulled out the dead bodies.
