Four employees of Rashtrapati Niwas the Retreat Shimla were tested positive for Novel Corona Virus on Saturday. The cases have been noted just ahead of the President of India Ramnath Kovind Sep 16 visit to Shimla to attend the Golden jubilee celebration of Himachal Pradesh State hood celebration.
Deputy Commissioner Shimla Aditya Negi said that including manager of Rashtrapati Niwas the Retreat Shimla four employees were tested positive for Novel Corona Virus on Satuday. He said that the tests of employees were conducted by a team of IGMC and four of them were confirmed for the covid pandemic.
Negi said that following the development administration decided to conduct the Covid test of all the employees of Rashtarpati Niwas Shimla and others employees of Hotels, Security and state who are to be deployed for the president
visit to Shimla. It is worthwhile to mentioned here that President of India Ram Nath Kovind is Scheduled to arrive here on Sep 16 on the invitation of Himachal Pradesh Government and State Legislative Assembly to address the special
session of Vidhan Sabha on Sep 17 which was convened to celebrate the golden jubilee celebration of state hood function.
A press release issued by the state Vidhan Sabha Secretariat here on Sunday said that a meeting was also convened of the Health, security and administration officers for preparation of special session and decided to that RTPCR
test for Covid would be conducted by the Health Department on September 13, 14 and 15 of the officers, employees associated with the session at Peter Hoff, Police Headquarters Shimla and Retreat.
Apart from this, RTPCR test would be conducted for all the officers and employees in the Legislative Assembly Secretariat on 14th and 15th September.
The officers and employees of Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation who would be on duty during the session would also undergo RTPCR test.
Addressing media persons after the meeting state Vidhan Sabha Speaker Vipin Parmar said that the Police Department should ensure traffic and parking arrangements and work in coordination with the Legislative Assembly Secretariat from the secjroty point of view.
Parmar directed the officers of all the departments present in the meeting to complete their work in time and the Public Works Department should also complete its work by September 15 evening.
He said that the SOP and protocol issued from the President’s office should be followed in spirit and actio and the works should be executed accordingly. The entire chambers of Legislative Assembly should be completely sanitized and all the guests should be informed in time about the arrangement.
The Meeting was attended by the State Vidhan Sabha Secretary Yashpal Sharma, Director General of Himachal Pradesh Police Sanjay Kundu, Deputy Commissioner Shimla Aditya Negi and SP Shimla Monkia Bhutunguru.
