Four trekkers go missing in Kullu district
Kullu, Sept 9
In yet another incidence, trekkers have gone missing in Kullu. Giving information the State disaster Management authority spokesperson stated that 4 trekkers have gone missing near Wachem(Malana) in Kullu district of the State.
“Four climbers of Mt Ali Ratni Tibba(5458m) from West Bengal are reported to be missing since day before yesterday enroute summit in Kullu, ” they stated. Adding that, two members and one cook are back to Wachem(near Malana) and informed about the incident.
He said that Director ABIMAS is gathering rescue team which will start from Manali at 9:45. Also, they informed that SDM Manali is coordinating a local rescue team at Jari to accompany ABIMAS team.
The trekkers have been identified as Abhijit Banik, 43, Chinmoy Mondal, 43, Dibash Das, 37 and Binoy Das, 31, all from West Bengal.
