Shimla, May 5
A four year old girl lost her life in tragic road mishap at Baghi Kaichi area of Kotkhai in Shimla district on Tuesday, senior police officer informed.
Superintendent of Police Shimla said that the complaint was lodged by Meena wife of Amar a native of Jalarkot Nepal currently residing as a tenant in Village Badach.
In her statement the grieving mother siad she was present with her daughter Lakshmi whne a speeding pick up vehicle struck the child while she was crossing the road. The impact left the girl critically injured.
She was immediately rushed to the Community Health Cetnre(CHC) Kotkhai where doctors declared her brought dead.

Preliminary police investigation indicates that the accident occurred due to negligent and careless driving by the accused driver, identified as Sohail son of Mohammad mustaq a resident of Village Tapri in Kotkhai, After the accident the driver allegedly fled the spot.
The police have registered a case and further legal proceedings are underway to bring the accused to justice.
