Gurudura Committtee Sanjauli lodges complaint against two women
Shimla, May 3,
Tension continues to brew in Shimla’s Sanjauli area over a व dispute linked to a local Gurdwara, with allegations of police bias adding a fresh dimension to the issue.
The controversy stems from an FIR registered at Sanjauli Police Station after two girls and the Gurdwara Pradhan filed a complaint against nine individuals. Acting on the complaint, police initiated legal proceedings.
The opposing side, however, has disputed the action, alleging that the two girls were found in an objectionable condition within the Gurdwara premises late at night. They claim that when they approached the police with their version, their application was not entertained, raising concerns over unequal treatment.
The matter has drawn sharp reaction from the Minority Front. Its state president, Gurmeet Singh, has expressed dissatisfaction over what he termed as selective action and warned of intensifying the agitation if a fair probe is not ensured. He is scheduled to visit Sanjauli Police Station on May 4 at 11:30 am to take up the matter with the police authorities.
Responding to the allegations, Superintendent of Police Shimla, Gaurav Singh, stated that the police have acted strictly as per law and procedure, rejecting claims of bias.
