Shimla, May 26
Today, the Himachal Pradesh High court ordered a CBI probe into the Himachal Pradesh Police Constable Examination leak scam. Division Bench of Acting Chief Justice Sabina and Justice Satyan Vaidya passed this order in the open court on Thursday. The Civil Writ Petition was moved by petitioner Vinay Sharma, urging the court to order a CBI probe in the case.
Advocate General Ashok Sharma filed a reply in this case stating that the state has already decided to hand it over to CBI recently. The bench disposed of the case, passing an order that the CBI probe the matter. Earlier, the petitioner said in the case that State Police which is conducting constable recruitment is also an examination agency. After the complaint of the paper leak, it was itself conducting a probe by constituting a Special Investigation Team. Seeking a CBI probe, the petitioner added that a free and fair investigation could be expected through an outside agency
