Shimla, Aug 23,
The Himachal Pradesh Police has successfully concluded a three-day advanced training program aimed at enhancing the capacity and skills of traffic personnel in district units. Held from August 20 to August 22, 2024, this “Training of Trainers (TOT)” initiative was launched under the directives of Director General of Police Dr. Atul Verma, IPS, with the goal of equipping newly posted and deputed police officers with the proficiency needed to handle modern traffic management challenges effectively.
The program, inaugurated by DIG Traffic, Tourist, and Railway (TTR), Gurdev Chand Sharma, IPS, focused on the critical role of well-trained personnel in maintaining road safety and enforcing traffic laws. Sharma emphasized the necessity of adopting modern tools and techniques to enhance the efficiency of daily operations, ensuring better compliance with the Motor Vehicle Act and other prevailing regulations.
The training sessions covered various aspects crucial for traffic management. Additional SP TTR, Narvir Singh Rathour, provided officers with updates on the latest amendments to the Motor Vehicle Act, offering insights into the legal framework governing traffic enforcement.
