Himachal Pradesh’s Dr. Peter D’Souza Placed second in National Masters table tennis
In the recently held 29th UTT National Masters Table Tennis Championship in Jalandhar, Punjab, senior player Dr. Peter D’Souza led the Himachal Pradesh team and delivered a stellar performance. Despite being 68 years old, D’Souza managed to secure the position of runner-up in the over 65 years category of the championship.
Also for the 1st time in the history of State Table Tennis, the HP team consisting of Dr. Peter Dasouza, Alkesh Saini and Yash Pal Rana made it in the quarter finals of National 50+ Team Championship where it lost to Punjab A after beating Bengal B , Delhi A and CAG B teams in previous rounds.
D’Souza’s outstanding achievements in table tennis date back to his university days, where he won numerous national level championships. His impressive performance at the 29th UTT National Masters Table Tennis Championship serves as an inspiration to aspiring players and seasoned veterans alike.
