Himachal Pradesh Revenue, Horticulture, and Tribal Development Minister Jagat Singh Negi today airlifted four people seriously injured in a road accident near Pooh, Kinnaur district, to Indira Gandhi Medical Institute in Shimla for immediate medical attention.
Three people tragically lost their lives in the accident, which occurred on Gandhi Mohalla Sampark Road. The deceased were identified as Chhewang Jamo, Inder Moni, and Sarita. The injured, Chhering Chokit (46), Shanti Devi (50), Surendra Kumari (29), and the driver Deepak (25), were promptly transported by helicopter from the Indian Army helipad at Karcham.
The Revenue Minister expressed his condolences to the bereaved families and assured that all possible assistance would be provided to the injured. He also prayed for their speedy recovery.
Additional District Magistrate Pooh, Vinay Modi, announced immediate relief of Rs. 25,000 to the families of the deceased and Rs. 5,000 to the injured.
