Himachal Pradesh Government has ordered to start off line undergraduate classes of Govt, private degree, Sanskrit College and Institutions aided by govt with effect from Sep 1, 2021 following the standard Operating Procedure.
A notification issued by Additional Director higher Education Dr Parmod Chauhan said that that Educational institutions are being directed by the state government to start offline classes with effect from Sep 1, 2021 following the SOPs issued time to time. He said that if needed head of Institution should regulate the classes in such a manner that each class room does not have students above 50 per cent capacity of the classroom .
He further directed to ensure proper thermal secreening, use of mask, proper hand washing, social distancing and sanitation of class rooms and avoidance of uncessary gathering.
He said that admission for 2nd and 3rd year UG classes started rolling along with online classes from August 16. The admission process for 1st year classes to be completed by Aug. 31 and physical or offline classes would started with effect from Sep 1 now, he added.
Baring examination, offline classes were off since March last year which caused massive loss of regular acedmic activities and and practical classes or learning to sciences, information technology students.
Teaching faculty and non-teaching staff are already attending their office and with Vaccinatation of most of students above 18 yrs age group University and Colleges would start it’s suspended activities now, stated a government official.
Chief minister Jai Ram Thakur said that almost 98 per Cent eligible population have got their first shot of Covid Vaccine in the state and it would help the state to face 3rd wave of Covid pandemic and lifting Covid restrictions to some extent.
