A Goverment official said on the condition of anonymity that C Palrasu attended the cabinet meeting on Monday but he left it when the meeting was in progress. The ruling BJP have lost all the four bye election held in the state on October 30 when C Palrasu was the CEO.
It is worthwhile to mention here that before holding the charge of CEO of Election Department, Devesh Kumar also held thus posted before C Palrasu.
Rulling BJP have filled number of complaint before the CEO regarding breaching of MCC by its rival candidate including party rebel Chetan Bragta but C Palrasu and others Returning Officer did not passed any order in favour of ruling party.
The ruling party moved a complaint against Chetan Bragta that he did not showed it disclosed the actual or proper information of immobile assets owned by him which was transferred from him by his father late Narendra Bragta.
Another complaint was also moved before the CEO and Election Commission of India by the ruling party Official against Chetan Bragta that he illegally tempered party Social Media accounts seeking disqualification and suspending him in violantion of MCC and People Representation Act.
CEO or no Returning Officer acted on the complainant of BJP complaint. The fresh action could be outcome of backlash of ruling parties defeat and drubbing.
Normally in the state administive services CEO keep on holding the additional charge of secretary in the government and C Palrasu was no exception to it.
It is first instance when after three days of relaxation of MCC in the state any CEO was relieved from the government taking his additional charge.
The action was taken late this evening by relieving the IAS of additional charge in the public interest .
