HP police trace 214 missing persons in drive
Shimla, April 12
According to the state police, a missing person is one whose whereabouts are unknown, and whose status as alive or dead has to be confirmed. Missing persons, especially women and children, are vulnerable to abuse and exploitation, which is why special steps must be taken to recover them.
During the special campaign, the police made all-out efforts to trace missing women and children, constituting special teams of police personnel for the purpose. The police teams worked diligently to successfully trace 214 missing persons, as per the press release.
The Director General of Police in Himachal Pradesh has applauded the efforts made by the police personnel and complimented all Ranges IGPs, Districts SPs, SDPOs, SHOs, and In-charge Police Posts for their outstanding work during the special campaign.
The successful tracing of missing persons during the special drive by the Himachal Pradesh Police is commendable, stated citizens.
