HP PWD to introduce rent receipts and digital payment options for rest houses

Dr. Abhishek Jain, Secretary of the Public Works Department, announced today a significant enhancement in guest hospitality at department-operated rest houses and periphery houses. Effective July 1, 2024, guests will be provided with rent receipts upon request, facilitating both convenience and streamlined revenue collection for the department. These receipts will also serve as documentation for reimbursement purposes.
In alignment with contemporary technological trends, the department will introduce cashless payment options such as QR codes and other digital platforms in rest houses and periphery houses. He has directed the officials of the department ensure rent receipts to the guests staying in the rest house and circuit housed of the department. This initiative aims to enhance guest experience by enabling seamless digital transactions, he added.
Dr. Abhishek Jain emphasized the department’s commitment to leveraging information technology to improve service delivery. Plans are underway to implement an online payment system, further enhancing convenience for guests accessing department facilities.
This move clearly indicates the Public Works Department’s dedication to modernizing operations and ensuring superior guest satisfaction across its accommodations.
