Himachal Pradesh Chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu lashed out on the former BJP government for closing eye over involvement of Himachal Pradesh Subordinate Selection Commission to leak more questions papers of other recruitment examinations going to be held in the future.
Sukhu convened a press conference at Peterhoff here to reveal number of scams going since previous BJP government as he said that during SIT search in home of HPSSC Employees three questions papers including enterance examination of Junior Auditor, computer operator and future JOA(IT) examinations was recovered.
He said that Junior Auditor examination was scheduled on January 1 2023. Finding of specimen of questions paper in the house of Uma Azad posted as Superintendent shows that questions paper was simultaneously or separately being leaked by the employees which may be known to all others members and chairman of the Commission. SIT have recovered Rs 6.40 lakh cash during the raid.
He said that this revelation brought the role of all members and officers under scanner and it also indicates that many others have been recruited under similar scams of paper leak and confidence was lost on the Commission forcing Goverment to suspend entire excercise.
He said that all examination being conducted by the Commission in future have to be suspended for indefinite time as after having report of this level of scams it would take 30 to 35 days to announce further details of examination schedule. The examination is not suspended completely and information about it to be released soon. Questioning the involvement and role of previous government on the fresh papers leak cases he said that all examination held by Commission in the past and present recruitments was suspended as many others could have been appeared in the past examination with getting assistance of leaked questions paper.
He said that he held a meeting of police officers a day after taking oath and constitute aSIT which sucessfully unfolded the JOA(IT) paper leak on December 23 for the examination to be held on last Sunday on December 25.
Sukhu also stated that during the course of investigation SIT found that son of arrested employee claimed that he tried to sell questions paper of JOA IT by convincing people that son of the arrested paper leak employee qualified the same test with 170 marks out of total 185. A deal to sell question paper at Rs 2.50 lakh was done, which the State Vigilance and Anti-corruption Bureau got input about.
He said that the way the police recruitment was held during the BJP and question paper are leaked shows that former Jai Ram Thakur Government was in Nelson sleep about the matter of illicit trafficking of question paper, and thus were playing with the future of 14 lakh unemployed youth most of them poor and preparing honestly for these examinations.
He said that BJP despite having information of these scams was closing their eyes and cheated 14 lakh youth who wants job security. He said that Goverment are taking action against those found involved in the paper leak case of comission under relevant sanction of Prevention of Corruption Act and relevant sections of IPC.
He said that Goverment would ensure to reschedule all future examination and interviews in next 60 days.
Responding to query about police paper leak case being handed over to CBI by the last BJP government recently Sukhu said that State government would copperate in the investigation
