Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) has earned international recognition as one of its young researchers, Riya Chandel, from the Department of Biosciences, has been selected to present her work at an upcoming conference at the National University of Singapore (NUS), ranked eighth among world universities.
Her participation has been made possible through a travel grant awarded by the Department of Science and Technology–Anusandhan National Research Foundation (DST-ANRF). She will attend the event under the mentorship of her guide, Assistant Professor Dr. Shweta Thakur.
Congratulating the duo, HPU Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mahavir Singh said the achievement reflects the growing stature of the university in the field of advanced research and innovation. He noted that global academic exposure not only boosts the confidence and learning of individual scholars but also strengthens HPU’s visibility on the international stage.
Prof. Singh expressed optimism that such international collaborations would open new opportunities for research partnerships and elevate the university’s academic profile.
On the occasion, Dr. Ramesh Thakur, Director of the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), also conveyed his best wishes, describing the selection as a proud moment for both the scholar and the institution.
