Where the 100year old steam engline was being run on Kalka Shimla Heritage railway track and it caught news too. But a newspaper report this morning mocks it all now. As per the report the steam has caused forest fire at some place near Anandpur. The villagers have urged to file a complaint in the matter.
The report says that they have informed that the area around the track carryies pine plantation which is inflamable thus causing the fire in the jungle due to the sparks coming out of steam.
The news report is yet another example of how authorities prepare half baked plans adding to inconvienence for the general public. If a careful holistic plan for running the heritage engine would have been prepared then this mockery could have been averted.
