Shimla, Sept 28,
A Kinnaur native student died after falling from 5th floor of Tribal Hostel of Himachal Pradesh University Last night. The victim was rushed to IGMC following the mishap where he was declared dead police sources said. The deceased identified as Akhil was a student of LLB first semester in HPU.
On receiving information about the accident at night police rushed the student to IGMC where doctor declared him dead.
HPU’s Chief Warden RL Jinta has confirmed the accident. The post-mortem of the body is being done at IGMC Shimla.
After this, the body would be handed over to the family. The Chief Warden of the University and other staff are present at IGMC.
According to police, the young student apparently jumped from the 5th floor and ended his life. Preliminary report of the incident not revealed any involvement of other person.
