Himachal Pradesh Assembly members informed the house that he received an international call threatening to obstruct the flag hoisting ceremony on August 15 as the message was addressed to Director General of Police, Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and BJP president Jagat Prakesh Nadda.
Raising the issue under point of order during the monsoon session of the HP Vidhan sabha, Congress member Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that while he was sitting in the Opposition lounge outside the assembly, he got a International call from a person in a recorded message claiming himself prokhalistani and was threating to stall the Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur and BJP President J P Nadda flag hoisting function on 15th August.
It is worthwhile to mention that number of press correspondents have also being receiving the similar call number of times on July 30 and Aug 2.
The State Cyber Crime Police Station, Shimla booked the alleged caller under section124 IPC (sedition against State), 153-A IPC (act prejudicial to maintenance of harmony), 506 IPC (intimidation), 120-B IPC (criminal conspiracy), 13 of The Unlawful Activities(Prevention) Act 1967 (commission of unlawful activity) and 66-C of IT Act 2000.
This case has been registered against one Gurpatwant Singh Pannu based on a recorded audio clip received on mobile by many journalists and citizens of Himachal Pradesh.
Himachal Pradesh Police decided to upgrade security of Rajendra Vishwanth Arlekar, Governor,Jai Ram Thakur, Hon’ble CM, J P Nadda, BJP National President & Anurag Thakur, Union Cabinet Minister have been upgraded in the State.
