South West Monsoon System is likely to be vigorous in the next five days as widespread rainfall is predicted in the state moreover a red alert of very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall has been sounded by the Indian Meteorological Department in five districts of the state in next 48hrs. A warning of flash flood was made by IMD which would effective till  Jul 28.
A red alert of very heavy to extremely heavy rain along with lightening and thunderstorm the have been issued which likely to cause moderate risk over few watersheds and neighborhood of Chamba, Kangra, Mandi, Kullu and Shimla (Upper Part), districts in Himachal Pradesh.
Besides this most of places in the mid and foothills likely may have heavy to very heavy rain , met office said issuing orange alert for the state.
Alert of surface runoff or inundation may occur at some places where there is fully saturated soil due to expected persistent rainfall occurrence in next 36 hours, warned the Met Office.
State have moderate to heavy rain as Bharariin Hamirpur 76 mm, Sarkaghat in mandi 60 mm, Gohar-45 mm, Dharamshala in Kangra -44 mm, Bijahi in Mandi 36 mm, Mehre in Kangra 34 mm, Pandoh in Mandi-33 mm, Hamirpur-32 mm, Sujanpur Tira-31 mm, Baijnath & Palampur-30 mm each, Gaggal & Nahan in Sirmaur -29 mm each, Naina Devi in Bilaspur 26 mm, Banjar in Kullu -24 mm, Mandi & Dehra Gopipur in Kangra -23 mmeach, Bhuntar in Kullu 22 mm, Baijnath in Kangra & Kasauli in Solan 20 mm each.
A report of SDM Padhar said that Jatingiri road is blocked between Gatasni and jatingiri about 1130hrs. Machinery is deployed road would be cleared by 1500hrs today. About 15 vehicles are stranded there.
Thick fog and low visibility also hampering the vehicular traffic in the state moreover number roads including national highways are disrupted in the state.
