Naib Tehsildar in Purkhi of Chamba district, Pramod Kumar was caught red handed by State Vigilance and Anti-corruption Bureau while taking a bribe of Rs 8000 for registration of land mutation. Spokesperson of SV&ACB stated that while acting on a complaint, a vigilance team of Chamba today laid a trap and caught the accused red handed with bribe of Rs 8000 on the way to his residence (Pukhri).
Complaint was lodged recently before SV&ACB Chamba that Naib Tehsildar Pramod Kumar posted at pukhri, chamba is demanding bribe of Rs eight thousand for mutation of his land.
Complainant had approached many times to get the work done, however accused was delaying the process for no reason. Now, a case is registered under various sections of Prevention of Corruption Act and further investigation is going on.
