Death toll of Covid pandemic went up to nine on Wednesday and 653 new cases were detected, raising active cases to 4158 and death toll to 1077 in the state.
State Government Spokesman said that as many as 653 new cases were detected in the last 24 hrs state Kangra recorded 164 cases, Solan 143, Hamirpur 62, Mandi 58, Shimla 53, Una 51, Bilaspur 42, Kullu 25, Sirmaur 36 and Chamba 14.
Five died of Covid in Kangra one each in Sirmuar, Solan, Shimla and Una.
Active cases increased to 4158 in the state as total number of Covid case in the state mounted 66890.
As many as 61537 cured in the state whereas Shimla reordered 276 death, Kangra 236 and Mandi 134, Kullu 86 and Solan 76 and Una 69 respectively.
This is the highest spike in the death and case during second wave.
