Shimla, Mar 6,
According to Vidhan Sabha Secretary Yashpal Sharma no show cause notice was issued against the BJP members to disqualify them and no such issue is under the consideration before the speaker so far. Noteworthy that in wake of current ongoing political turmoil in Himachal Pradesh social media and vernacular are buzzing with various unverified report which include show cause notices issued to seven BJP MLAs and relief to 15 suspended BJP MLAs in the court.
When we verified the information from the Vidhan Sabha secretariat it was found that there is no iota of truth and rumours were being blown out of proportion for reasons unknown.
A similar unverified information was also being peddled by the vested interests, that 15 BJP MLAs who are suspended by the Speaker on February 28 till the end of Budget session got reprieved from the High court
today. However when this information was verified from the official spokesperson of state High court, it was denied. There was no truth about any such information and 15 BJP MLAs who were suspended till the end of budget session need not knock the door of High court as their suspension is already restored with adjournment of Budget session.
Experts note that the Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha have immunity to conduct the proceeding of house without any external influence and no court could issue summons to speaker questioning role as presiding officer.
Even on previous occasions false information was being supplied to section of social media which includes tendering resignation by the Chief minister on February 28. However Chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu condemned such misinformation as handiwork of opposition. On Wednesday an information was also coming that Industry Minister Harshvardhan Chauhan was asked by the party high command come to Delhi however this information was also found unfounded.
Public Works department Minister Vikramaditya Singh also rubbished the claim of meeting senior BJP leaders at Delhi in a press conference today. He said that media cooks various stories about him. Denying meeting the disqualified MLA at Panchkula on his own capacity he stated was there to convey the party message.
After the defection of six MLAs, Congress party is in deep turmoil and party State president Pratibha Singh has been accusing Chief minister for on going situation.
