Notification was issued here for 14th general assembly election by the Himachal Pradesh Governor today. A notification was issued by Guv under sub-section (2) of Section 15 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951 (43 of 1951), published in the official gazette of the State on the 17th October, 2022. “Pleased to call upon all Assembly Constituencies in the State of Himachal Pradesh, to elect members to the Legislative Assembly of the State,” stated the document.
The last date for making nominations shall be 25th October, 2022 (Tuesday). The date for scrutiny of nominations October 27, 2022 (Thursday), and the last day of withdrawal would be 29th October, 2022 (Saturday).
The date of polling will be 12th of November, 2022 (Saturday). Adding,”… if necessary, be taken from 8 am to 5 pm”, read the order. Also,” On 10th December, 2022 (Saturday), as the date before which the election shall be completed.”
Notification added,” the existing Legislative Assembly of the State of Himachal Pradesh, unless sooner dissolved, shall continue upto and including the 08th January, 2023, and shall thereafter, stand dissolved on the expiration of its duration.”
