After failing to get the discrepancies in the pay scales issues addressed by the State government, the family members of state Police constables have decided to Protest infront of Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his upcoming visit to state on the completion of Jai Ram Thakur Government 4 yrs in the power.
“If the government continues to behave like this with them, then all of us family members will take out an anger rally on the arrival of Prime Minister in Himachal. ” statement said.
A press statement issued here today by Rohan Thakur # justice for hp police said that they had displayed placards to Bharatiya Janata Party President JP Nadda to put forth the demands of state police constables however that did not bear any fruit.
The statement said that FIRs was lodged against those protesting. Terming the CM assurance to remove the discrepancies in the pay scale as double standards, protesters said that on other hand DGP Sanjay Kundu warned the constables to not raise their voice about any demand in the social media.
“It was two edged sword of Goverment which forced the family members of constables to take guard after understanding the helplessness, they geared up for justice for their children. ” the protesting family members said.
” If the jawans are asking for the revised pay scale, then what is wrong in it” newly elected Congress MLA Bhawani Singh Pathania fumed over the development in Vidhan Sabha Complex Tapovan recently.
The image of Himachal Police Jawan is respectfull in the entire country, but today the jawans are adopting the path of agitation, why? , questioned Protesters.
Discrimination is being done with those who serve this country and state, are posted on duty for 24 hours day and night. The condition of the police in Himachal Pradesh has been reduced to the worst, they added. Rs 210 are given in the name of ration allowance. They have to pay for food from own pocket working day and night.
Police personnel should be given a pay scale of 10300 and ration allowance should be given on the lines of other states, they demanded.
