Shimla, July 6
With onset of monsoon season, the state Industrial township Parwanoo of Solan district reported 147 Dengue cases on Tuesday.
A Block medical health officer said that new cases of dengue are being traced with heavy rain and accumulation of water in the streets, logging of drain in the colonies. He said that people are being cautioned to not allow water pots and logging of waters drains as total 147 cases have been reported in Parwanoo ESI Hospital, out of which 83 have come from Parwanoo and adjoining Taksal area, while 64 cases have come from Kalka in Haryana so far.
The Health Department says that the situation is completely under control.
It is worth mentioning that in view of the increasing cases of dengue and viral, the work of fogging is being done on a war footing by the city council in all the sectors and adjoining village of Taksal Panchayat, so that dengue mosquitoes do not breed. Most of the cases of dengue infected are coming from the Taksal area and the slum area of Parwanoo.
Nagar Parishad Sanitary Inspector Karamchand Verma said that anti-dengue fogging spray is being done by the council in Parwanoo from 19th of June last month in all the wards and sectors. So that people could be saved from dengue infection. Fogging is also being done in the Taksal colony along with the team of health department to check breeding of mosquito in the water logging area.
