Shimla, September 8
The ruling BJP has scheduled Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s election rally for Himachal elections during Shraddha or receeding moon on September 24. State Party president Suresh Kashyap said this during a press conference held here today. The party has decided to hold the public rally before enforcement of model code of conduct. He said that the first rally would be scheduled on September 24 in Mandi. Also, that BJP Yuva Morcha has already started preparations for it. He said that today, BJP’s National Organization Minister BL Santosh will hold a review meeting on the preparations for the rally at Hotel Peterhof, Shimla.
The ruling outfit has set a target to mobilize support of one lakh youth for the rally. The Saffron party is also scheduling the 2nd PM Rally in Bilaspur, most likely on the day of dedicating AIIMS to people in Bilaspur.
It is interesting to note here that the saffron party which is revered Hindu Vikrami Samvat (calander) has decided to launch PM election campaign from recceeding moon period of Bhadrapada Pratipada which is considered unaspious in the state of Himachal Pradesh. No staunch Hindu devotee would prefer to hold the rally during ‘Shardha’ as the period is dedicated to remember or feed the departed souls in heaven.
Suresh Kashyap said that Union Minister Smriti Irani would also come to Himachal soon to address the rally of Mahila Morcha. Apart from this, Nitin Gadkari and Rajnath Singh are also going to come to Himachal soon.
