State Anti-corruption sleuth booked and arrested a Principal of Senior Secondary School and a manager of state Forest Development corporation in a High-Profile corruption and involving in misuse of Power and Illegal Timber cases
Anti-corruption and Vigilance Bureau registered three separate FIRs involving serious allegations of misuse of power and illegal activities, prompting a detailed investigation in last 24 hrs .
Alleged Om Prakash Sharma, Principal, Government Sr. Sec. School, Balera, Tehsil Arki, District Solan was booked for misusing his
position with contractor Devender Kumar and painter Vijay Kumar. Allegedly Trio conspired to prepare fake documents for the construction of the water tank and gave fake receipts of Rs. 93,840/-. Investigation of the case is going on.
FIR registered on August 30 under section 409,420,467,468,471,120 B IPC and 13(1)(a) r.w.s13(2) PC
Act 1988 (As amended in 2018) has been registered on the basis of enquiry report.
A FIR was lodged at ACVB Nahan on August 30 under section 7 of PC (Amended) Act, 2018, against Ashwani Kumar Verma, Divisional Manager HP State Forest Development Corporation Ltd., Nahan, District Sirmaur, HP, for demanding two percent commission from the complainant in lieu of clearing his pending bills of Rs. 67 Lakhs approx. He was caught red handed while accepting
Rs. 50,000/- from the complainant. Investigation of the case is going one.
In the third case, FIR registered on August 29, 2024, under Section 303(2), 61(2) of the BNS and Sections 32, 33 of the Indian Forest Act, police have targeted members of the temple committee of Village Kothi, Gram Panchayat Ogli, Tehsil Sunni. The case involves the recovery of illegal timber, including 50 frames, 15 sleepers, and 72 planks of deodar wood, from the Samudayik Bhawan in Kothi.
