It is likely that due to the effect of Western Disturbance in Himachal Pradesh, the weather will change again. Rain, hailstorm and snowfall are expected in the state from May 3 to 5. The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert in ten districts. In the plains and mid-mountain areas, there has been a warning of hailstorms with thunderstorms on May 3 and 4. On May 5, an alert was issued for thunder and lightning.
Director of Meteorological Center Shimla said that due to a western disturbance, the state’s weather would be affected for the next four days.
There is also a possibility of snowfall in the high mountain areas. A yellow alert has been issued for lightning and heavy hailstorms on May 3 and 4 in Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Una, Kangra, Shimla, Solan, Chamba, Kullu, Mandi and Sirmaur in ten districts falling under plain and mid-mountain areas. During this, there is also a possibility of wind speed reaching 40 km per hour. He said that on Sunday, 45 mm of rain was recorded in Rajgarh, 12 in Shilaru, 10 each in Theog and Jogendranagar, 8 in Kufri, 7 in Gohar, 6 in Shimla, 2 each in Chaupal and Kalpa.
