Shimla, Oct 9
State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau arrested a secretary of Ispur Agriculture Cooperative Society of Haroli Tehsil in Una district for forgery and embezzlement of Rs 1.63 Cr. after preparing false loan documents during the period of 2015 to 2019.
Additional Director General of of SV& ACB Shimla Anurag Garg said that a case has been registered on Oct 7 at the SV&ACB police Station at Una on the complaint of Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Society wherein it was alleged that accused Shyam Lal Secretary of Ispar Agriculture Cooperative Service Society has committed fraud on the Society and embezzled Rs 1.63 Cr by forgery and preparing false loan documents during the period 2015-2019.
Searches have been conducted at various places in Tehsil Haroli and incriminating documents have been seized. The accused Shaym Lal has been arrested today and his seven day police remand has been obtained from the court. The Investigation is being conducted by a team of Special Investigation unit Shimla led by Deputy Superintendent of Police Varun Patial.
