Shimla, August 17: Two police constables were killed in a horrific road accident early Monday morning when a tanker collided with an auto-rickshaw between Talend and Khalini on the Shimla-Mandi road, sending shockwaves through the police department.
The deceased have been identified as Praveen Mehta and Hemant Kumar, both posted at Police Lines Kaithu. According to preliminary information, the two police personnel were travelling in an auto-rickshaw when the collision occurred. Both sustained critical injuries in the mishap and died in the accident.
The accident reportedly occurred during the early hours of the morning. The impact of the collision was severe, leaving the two police personnel dead and causing considerable concern among residents and fellow police personnel.
