Recent five state assembly elections set number of new benchmark in Indian democracy as it not only stopped Modi-Shah Juggernaut from making inroads to Southern and Bengal peninsular region moreover on the very analogy of Sujanpur of Himachal Pradesh TMC supremo somehow lost Nandigram Assembly inspite of registering landslide victory in the one of the much hyped and unique electoral battlefield.
In 2017, Sujanpur Assembly constituency of Hamirpur, home district of former chief minister Prem Kumar Dhumal also had also lost his maiden assembly battle by margin of around 2000 votes forcing to surrender the claim for Chief minister ship for the third time.
 Similarly Dhumal was also chief ministerial candidate of BJP in 2017 Election. Despite Dhumal had successfully registered two third landslide electoral victory to the BJP snatching power from Congress he himself had faced ‘Khela hobe.’
Rajinder Rana who was once considered close to Dhumal doomed former CMs chance to be enthroned for third time just like TMC rebel Suvendu Adhikari who won May 3 Nandigram electoral verdict by almost similar margin.
There is similarity between the two electoral verdict as spoilsport was played to Mamata Banerjee and Dhumal by her own cadre and former loyalists. Dhumal could not succeed to get third term as Modi-Shah duo had seized over the party electoral victory and Jai Ram Thakur who was much junior to Dhumal having no role in party electoral victory become chief minister by default.
However, on the contrary in West Bengal TMC have entire command with Mamata Banerjee likely to get third term on May 5.
Nandigram or Sujanpur electoral verdict has indicated a new precedence for political parties they they should not take public mandate so overconfidently.
The two similar Election seems to be pointed huge mark in the role of Election Commission of India as it turn down the request of TMCÂ to order recounting in Nandigram vis-a-vis to Sujanpur where recounting was ordered.
Complete wipeout of Left front or Congress from its old bastion in West Bengal and scripting of a new history by LDF in Kerala ( by repeating government)Â shows that electoral democracy is an unpredictable game in the country.
There is old saying that one could be fool some time but not always, the agenda of Election should decide by the people not Political parties themselves as in electoral democracy.
