Shimla, July 29
The Himachal Pradesh government today issued a notification that wearing masks is mandatory in Educational Institutions, Government and Private Offices, indoor and outdoor gathering with immediate effect. The same was issued by the Secretary health Subhashish Panda.
The order said that Covid – 19 appropriate behavior, especially usage of masks, are being ignored by the general populace posing a serious threat to public health moreover number of Covid – 19 positive cases in the State are increasing day by day, as also the number of hospitalizations. The decision of the Government in this regard should be implemented strictly and also disseminated for compliance.
Taking cognizance of this, it is now hereby instructed that wearing of appropriate masks shall be ensured in all Educational Institutions, Government & Private Offices and indoor or outdoor gatherings for the prevention of further spread of the virus.
Persons who are immuno compromised or with comorbidities are especially vulnerable and a few fatality of such patients has also occurred, stated the State government notification.
