The Himachal Pradesh Police has added another feather to its cap, with 18 of its officers and personnel securing success in the prestigious Himachal Pradesh Finance and Accounts Service (HPF&AS) examination. Out of the 29 posts notified, as many as 18 have been bagged by police personnel, bringing laurels to the department.
Officials said this achievement reflects the department’s emphasis on capacity building and holistic development under the leadership of Director General of Police (DGP) Ashok Tewari. With a focus on professional as well as intellectual growth, the police force has been consistently encouraged to pursue higher learning and expand its capabilities beyond conventional policing.
The selected candidates will now serve as Section Officers after undergoing training at the Himachal Institute of Public Administration (HIPA), Fairlawns, Shimla. Their success, officials said, is not only a moment of pride for the Police Department but also a testament to the hard work, perseverance, and determination of its members.

Pandoh), L/Ct. Sheetal Guleria (3rd IRBn. Pandoh), Ct. Bhanu Pratap Thakur (3rd IRBn.), L/Ct. Rajni Saini (5th IRBn. Bassi), L/Ct. Priyanka (District Kinnaur), Ct. Himanshu Kashyap (Cyber PS Mandi), Ct. Soraubh Sharma (4th IRBn. J/Beri), Ct. Vinod Kumar (PD Baddi), L/Ct. Pooja Sharma (1st HPAP Bn.), Ct. Narender Singh (1st HPAP Bn.), Ct. Amit Thakur (1st HPAP Bn.), Ct. Deepak Beetan (District Kinnaur), Ct. Shiv Kumar (3rd IRBn. Pandoh), and L/Ct. Minakshi Rana (5th IRBn. Bassi).
The police department has extended warm congratulations to the achievers, expressing confidence that they will play a significant role in strengthening Himachal Pradesh’s financial and administrative framework in their new roles.
