The disclosure was made by Dr. Munish Saroch, Member Secretary of the college’s Anti-Ragging Committee, during an address at the Shoba Singh Auditorium. In response to these incidents, the college administration organized a sensitization workshop on Wednesday, focusing on anti-ragging measures and substance abuse awareness. The session was attended by over 600 students from postgraduate, MBBS, BSc, paramedical, and nursing courses.
Speakers at the event included Principal Prof. Milap Sharma, Dr. Munish Saroch, Head of Psychiatry Prof. Sukhjit Singh, TAMCOT General Secretary Dr. Pradeep Attri, and other committee members. They emphasized the grave consequences of ragging and substance abuse while reinforcing the college’s zero-tolerance policy.
However, the workshop faced organizational challenges, with technical issues such as a malfunctioning projector affecting the presentation. Student engagement remained low, and many attendees left midway, indicating a lack of interest and inadequate management of the session.
