24 Vehicles damaged in Kullu flash flood

Around 24 vehicles parked along the roadside were damaged in Jagat Khana near Nirmand in Kullu district after flash floods triggered by intense rains and cloud burst this evening report arriving here comfo.
The sudden increase in water from the otherwise dry Sharshaya Nallah caused widespread panic, though no casualties were reported.
Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Nirmand, Manmohan Singh, confirmed the damage and attributed the incident to heavy rainfall.
“It was heavy rain appeared to be cloudburst that triggered flash floods,” SDM said.
The local Meteorological Centre has issued a yellow warning for thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds ranging from 40–50 kmph for May 25 and 26 in seven districts — Sirmaur, Solan, Shimla, Mandi, Kullu, Kangra, and Chamba — and for all twelve districts on May 27 and 28. A wet spell is expected to persist across Himachal for the next six days.
On Saturday, gusty winds ranging from 37 to 56 kmph were recorded in Reckong Peo, Tabo, Kotkhai, Bajaura, and Seobagh. Rainfall was measured at Rohru (10 mm), Jubbarhatti (2.6 mm), Jubbal (2.4 mm), and Chamba (2 mm). No snowfall was reported.
There was no significant change in temperatures. Una remained the hottest with a maximum of 39.2°C, while Keylong was the coldest at 7.3°C. Weather conditions are likely to deteriorate again with light to moderate rainfall forecast for mid and lower hills on May 27 and 28, and isolated rainfall in higher hills on May 25.
