Amid the ongoing monsoon fury, a moderate earthquake with a magnitude of 3.2 struck the tribal district of Lahaul-Spiti in Himachal Pradesh on Thursday afternoon.
According to the Seismological department, the earthquake occurred at around 13:11 hours and had a depth of 5 kilometers. Fortunately, there have been no reports of any loss of life or property.
This region, situated in seismic zone IV, is considered a high-damage-risk zone, making even moderate quakes a cause for vigilance.
