Shimla, October 2
Sirmaur district of Himachal Pradesh seems, witnessing outbreak of Dengue as according to district health officer 50 cases were registered so far. The growing new cases in district Sirmaur, is becoming a cause of stir among the people.
Chief Medical Officer Dr. Ajay Pathak informed that around 17 cases of dengue are reported in the district every day. There has been a steady increase in cases in the last three-four days. All these cases have been received from Nahan city and surrounding areas.
He said that fogging is being done in Nahan and Poanta cities. At the same time, district diaster Management authority has been directed to conduct fogging of insecticide in all villages where dengue cases are being reported. He said that a public awareness campaign is also launched in the area to educate masses to not allowed stagnation of rain water.
At the same time, the health department has sounded a alert about the increasing cases of dengue. The department has given instructions to conduct dengue test of fever patients in all the hospitals of the district.
